our aging main water pipes

looks like our various main pipes are yelling for our attention recently....

after we have replaced the underground PBA main pipe in blk k parking area some weeks ago, we found that on the floor abt 3 meter away from the newly replaced pipe there's water too, and now we suspect another section of underground main pipe may facing the same problem, crack...... :(

to make the situation more worrying, past few weeks we received & attended to few corridor main water pipe burst cases, those main pipes are supplying water to every residents' unit, you can find it before resident's PBA meter, normally when these main pipe crack, the water will flow out from the main pipe & flooded the corridor area, worse case then it will go into nearest resident's house, and the bad bad bad one will flow into the lift & cause short circuit, and eventually kill the lift electrical component & cause major break down, which happen before to blk k lifts, it will take at least two days to make the lifts move again as the the components need to be dried up first before necessary repair works can be carried out.

to replace all these main pipes will cost huge sum of money, we don't think if rely on our maintenance fund alone can have sufficient fund to handle this job, so eventually we still need to run to the gov't for help, especially the state gov't 80%/20% arrangement for the low medium cost apartments like Vista Condo.

now we got to face the fact that most of our main pipes are at the end of their life span, and we need to make plan to replace them, as soon as possible, perhaps in the coming AGM we will share more with our residents, and may propose to collect monthly sinking fund (maybe RM10) so that when gov't approve our request to replace the main pipes, we will have enough money to pay for our 20%.

Any Update on the supply water tank..
By any chance change together with the pipe supply to our individual unit.

Lastly it's my own opinion.. i agreed to paid extra for every month but for how long.you need to clarify.now economic not so good.

Hi MC,

May I know what happen to Block K side staircase lighting? It's down for almost 3 weeks and I have reported to the management 2 times but the problem still remain unsolved.

Furthermore, I found that the management always informed me that the electrician is busy and unable to attend to Vista Condo problem. But for 3 weeks? It is really ridiculous!!!

If the electrician don't have sense of responsibility, I think is time to change to another one.

Hello MC,

I would like to raise some concern on Blok K staircase lighting and also floor lighting. The whole floor was very dark.

When reported to management office last week, they said not sure what was happen and will take a look on it.

Thus, I reported again this week and they said it caused by tricks.
Yet, since they know the root cause, why not asking the electrician to solve it?
Please advise.

Hope this issue will be solved soon.

hi, please hold the deposit from contractor who's doing renovation works at j-9-2 . they leave behind a lot of rubbish at corridor. thank you

Thanks for all the feedback & comments,

1)blk k 8th flr corridor light problem rectified on Wednesday, but the staircase light from 5th to 8th flr may take awhile as the new electrician told us he timer went missing but it seems a bit strange because the riser room was lock all the while, but anyway we ask him to fix the timer but this week & see how it goes.

2)will communicate with the management office concerning the TV signal problem.

3)will ask management ppl to check on the J-9-2 renovation rubbish matter, yes we will sure deduct the deposit they violate the rules.

4)water tank replacement should proceed soon, but pipe replacement will be another project which we will talk to the govt for help. extra payment for sinking fund is still a proposal, the detail will need to discuss further with residents in AGM.
